A Moonlit Night on the Spring River | 春江花月夜

A Moonlit Night on the Spring River, Shilin Jv(1736-1820) Arranged by Xia Jing This classic Chinese piece is named after the poem Blossoms on a Moonlit River in Spring by Zhang Ruoxu (670–730), a famous poet from the Tang Dynasty. The poem is generally considered the best of that entire Dynasty. The piece is comprised of ten parts: Sunset with Xiao and Drum, Windblown Stamens, Guan Mountain by the Crescent, Mountain and Sunset, Wind of Autumn touches Maple and Reed, Floating Through the Canyon, The Sound of Xiao in Red Trees, Gazing out by the River, Fishman’s Evening Tune, and A Returning Boat in the shade of Sunset.
